THE MILLENNIUM GROUP
The Millennium Group was founded in 2002 under the company name Millennium Precision, LLC and located in Charlotte, NC. The original business model of the corporation was focused on being a manufacturer's representative for metrology based measuring equpment. After the second year of business Millennium Precision purchased Minus Six Metrology, another local distributor, to create the premier metrology sales center in the southeast. At the time of this purchase Millennium also started a second company Gage Productivity Services (GPS) as a service entity to support the systems that were being sold in the southeast. GPS soon grew into layout services and contrafct inspection as wel as onsite and in-house calibration services.
In 2004 Millennium started a third company Datapoint Technologies, located in Greenville, SC. Datapoint's main focus was material and product testing. In 2006 Millenniun combined all there services under one roof and moved the corporate office to Greenville SC. Early in 2007 Millemmium merged the three companies to create "The Millennium Group" (TMG) a premier inspection and test facility located conveniently to service the southeast manufacturing market. TMG has capabilities in areas such as Airbag Testing, Contract Inspection and Layout services, Materials Testing, Reliability/Durability Testing and Calibration services. TMG is also one of the top manufacturer's representatives in the sourheast, representing companies such as Optical Gaging Products (optical systems) and MItutoyo (surface and form equipment).
